Resetting My Weight Loss Journey with Tirzepatide and Mindful Feasting

In January 2020 I found myself at 217 lbs, feeling the weight of my choices. After a dedicated year, I managed to slim down to 180 lbs, a feat achieved even amid the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, social gatherings and the appeal of restaurant meals slowly crept back into my routine, leading to a regain of about 10 lbs. Realizing I needed a reset, I turned to Tirzepatide and embraced the concept of Mindful Feasting.


The Tirzepatide Journey So Far


I began my journey with Tirzepatide on September 3, 2025, purchasing a four-week supply from a local pharmacy for around $200. At that start, my weight was 193 lbs.


Initial Dose & Weight Loss


Initially, I started with a minimal dose to test my tolerance. After four weeks, I increased it to 5 mg. As of October 26, 2025, my weight has dropped to 179.8 lbs. This represents a loss of over 13 lbs in less than two months, making a notable difference in countering my weight regain.

While I’m pleased with my progress, I did face a significant side effect. After a Middle Eastern lunch in New Orleans last Friday, I experienced severe digestive issues lasting three days. At first, I suspected the food, but the symptoms, including heartburn and abdominal tension, aligned closely with common side effects of Tirzepatide. Despite this discomfort, I am committed to maintaining the medication for another month. My intention is to switch to relying solely on Mindful Feasting for ongoing weight management.
